Isaiah 23:16

23:16 “Take the harp,

go through the city,

forgotten prostitute!

Play it well,

play lots of songs,

so you’ll be noticed!” ¹ 

Isaiah 42:10

42:10 Sing to the Lord a brand new song!

Praise him ²  from the horizon of the earth,

you who go down to the sea, and everything that lives in it, ³ 

you coastlands ⁴  and those who live there!

[23:16]  ¹ tn Heb “so you will be remembered.”

[42:10]  ² tn Heb “his praise.” The phrase stands parallel to “new song” in the previous line.
