Isaiah 24:11

24:11 They howl in the streets because of what happened to the wine; ¹ 

all joy turns to sorrow; ² 

celebrations disappear from the earth. ³ 

Isaiah 29:19

29:19 The downtrodden will again rejoice in the Lord;

the poor among humankind will take delight ⁴  in the Holy One of Israel. ⁵ 

Isaiah 16:10

16:10 Joy and happiness disappear from the orchards,

and in the vineyards no one rejoices or shouts;

no one treads out juice in the wine vats ⁶  –

I have brought the joyful shouts to an end. ⁷
