Isaiah 3:24

3:24 A putrid stench will replace the smell of spices, ¹ 

a rope will replace a belt,

baldness will replace braided locks of hair,

a sackcloth garment will replace a fine robe,

and a prisoner’s brand will replace beauty.

Isaiah 5:24

5:24 Therefore, as flaming fire ²  devours straw,

and dry grass disintegrates in the flames,

so their root will rot,

and their flower will blow away like dust. ³ 

For they have rejected the law of the Lord who commands armies,

they have spurned the commands ⁴  of the Holy One of Israel. ⁵ 

Isaiah 23:18

23:18 Her profits and earnings will be set apart for the Lord. They will not be stored up or accumulated, for her profits will be given to those who live in the Lord’s presence and will be used to purchase large quantities of food and beautiful clothes. ⁶ 

Isaiah 29:8

29:8 It will be like a hungry man dreaming that he is eating,

only to awaken and find that his stomach is empty. ⁷ 

It will be like a thirsty man dreaming that he is drinking,

only to awaken and find that he is still weak and his thirst unquenched. ⁸ 

So it will be for the horde from all the nations

that fight against Mount Zion.

Isaiah 30:26

30:26 The light of the full moon will be like the sun’s glare

and the sun’s glare will be seven times brighter,

like the light of seven days, ⁹ 

when the Lord binds up his people’s fractured bones ¹⁰ 

and heals their severe wound. ¹¹ 

Isaiah 43:10

43:10 You are my witnesses,” says the Lord,

“my servant whom I have chosen,

so that you may consider ¹²  and believe in me,

and understand that I am he.

No god was formed before me,

Isaiah 55:11

55:11 In the same way, the promise that I make

Isaiah 58:5

Is this really what you call a fast,

a day that is pleasing to the Lord?

Isaiah 60:19

60:19 The sun will no longer supply light for you by day,

nor will the moon’s brightness shine on you;

the Lord will be your permanent source of light –

the splendor of your God will shine upon you. ¹⁹ 

Isaiah 65:20

65:20 Never again will one of her infants live just a few days ²⁰ 

or an old man die before his time. ²¹ 

Indeed, no one will die before the age of a hundred, ²²
