Isaiah 30:25

30:25 On every high mountain

and every high hill

there will be streams flowing with water,

at the time of ¹  great slaughter when the fortified towers collapse.

Isaiah 30:2

30:2 They travel down to Egypt

without seeking my will, ² 

seeking Pharaoh’s protection,

and looking for safety in Egypt’s protective shade. ³

[30:2]  ² tn Heb “those who go to descend to Egypt, but [of] my mouth they do not inquire.”

[1:4]  ⁴ tn The adverbial participle ἀκούσαντες (akousante") is understood to be temporal and translated with “since.” A causal idea may also be in the apostle’s mind, but the context emphasizes temporal ideas, e.g., “from the day” (v. 6).
