Isaiah 38:15

38:15 What can I say?

He has decreed and acted. ¹ 

I will walk slowly all my years because I am overcome with grief. ² 

Isaiah 57:14

57:14 He says, ³ 

“Build it! Build it! Clear a way!

Remove all the obstacles out of the way of my people!”

[38:15]  ¹ tn Heb “and he has spoken and he has acted.”

[38:15]  ² tn Heb “because of the bitterness of my soul.”

[57:14]  ³ tn Since God is speaking throughout this context, perhaps we should emend the text to “and I say.” However, divine speech is introduced in v. 15.
