Isaiah 5:27

5:27 None tire or stumble,

they don’t stop to nap or sleep.

They don’t loosen their belts,

or unstrap their sandals to rest. ¹ 

Isaiah 32:2

32:2 Each of them ²  will be like a shelter from the wind

and a refuge from a rainstorm;

like streams of water in a dry region

and like the shade of a large cliff in a parched land.

[5:27]  ¹ tn Heb “and the belt on his waist is not opened, and the thong of his sandals is not torn in two.”

[32:2]  ² tn Heb “a man,” but אִישׁ (’ish) probably refers here to “each” of the officials mentioned in the previous verse.
