Context5:28 Their arrows are sharpened,
and all their bows are prepared. 1
The hooves of their horses are hard as flint, 2
and their chariot wheels are like a windstorm. 3

Context43:17 the one who led chariots and horses to destruction, 4
together with a mighty army.
They fell down, 5 never to rise again;
they were extinguished, put out like a burning wick:

[5:28] 2 tn Heb “regarded like flint.”
[5:28] 3 sn They are like a windstorm in their swift movement and in the way they kick up dust.
[43:17] 4 tn Heb “led out chariots and horses.” The words “to destruction” are supplied in the translation for clarification. The verse refers to the destruction of the Egyptians at the Red Sea.
