[54:17]  1 tn Heb “and every tongue that rises up for judgment with you will prove to be guilty.”

[54:17]  2 tn Heb “this is the inheritance of the servants of the Lord, and their vindication from me.”

[15:20]  3 sn See 1:18. The Lord renews his promise of protection and reiterates his call to Jeremiah.

[21:18]  4 tn Here καί (kai) has been translated as “yet” to indicate the contrast present in this context.

[21:18]  5 sn Given v. 16, the expression not a hair of your head will perish must be taken figuratively and refer to living ultimately in the presence of God.
