Isaiah 59:18

59:18 He repays them for what they have done,

dispensing angry judgment to his adversaries

and punishing his enemies. ¹ 

He repays the coastlands. ² 

Isaiah 65:6

65:6 Look, I have decreed: ³ 

I will not keep silent, but will pay them back;

I will pay them back exactly what they deserve, ⁴ 

Isaiah 66:6

66:6 The sound of battle comes from the city;

the sound comes from the temple!

It is the sound of the Lord paying back his enemies.

Isaiah 34:8

34:8 For the Lord has planned a day of revenge, ⁵ 

a time when he will repay Edom for her hostility toward Zion. ⁶ 

Isaiah 57:18

57:18 I have seen their behavior, ⁷ 

but I will heal them and give them rest,

and I will once again console those who mourn. ⁸ 

Isaiah 61:8

61:8 For I, the Lord, love justice

and hate robbery and sin.

I will repay them because of my faithfulness; ⁹ 

I will make a permanent covenant with them.
