Isaiah 6:12

6:12 and the Lord has sent the people off to a distant place,

and the very heart of the land is completely abandoned. ¹ 

Isaiah 7:7

7:7 For this reason the sovereign master, ²  the Lord, says:

“It will not take place;

it will not happen.

[24:14]  ³ sn The remnant of the nations (see v. 13) may be the unspecified subject. If so, then those who have survived the judgment begin to praise God.
