[6:4] 1 tn On the phrase אַמּוֹת הַסִּפִּים (’ammot hassippim, “pivots of the frames”) see HALOT 763 s.v. סַף.
[10:30] 2 tc The Hebrew text reads “Poor [is] Anathoth.” The parallelism is tighter if עֲנִיָּה (’aniyyah,“poor”) is emended to עֲנִיהָ (’aniha, “answer her”). Note how the preceding two lines have an imperative followed by a proper name.
[24:14] 3 sn The remnant of the nations (see v. 13) may be the unspecified subject. If so, then those who have survived the judgment begin to praise God.
[24:14] 4 tn Heb “they yell out concerning.”
[30:31] 4 tn Heb “Indeed by the voice of the Lord Assyria will be shattered.”
[33:3] 5 tn Heb “at the sound of tumult the nations run away.”
[33:3] 6 tn Heb “because of your exaltation the nations scatter.”
[42:2] 6 tn Heb “he will not cause his voice to be heard in the street.”
