[61:7]  1 tn Heb “instead of your shame, a double portion.”

[61:7]  2 tn Heb “and [instead of] humiliation they will rejoice [over] their portion.” The term תָחָת (takhat, “instead of”) is understood by ellipsis (note the preceding line).

[61:7]  3 tn Heb “therefore” (so KJV, NASB); NIV “and so.”

[66:5]  4 tn Heb “who tremble at his word.”

[66:5]  5 tn Heb “brothers” (so NASB, NIV); NRSV “Your own people”; NLT “Your close relatives.”

[66:5]  6 tn Or “so that we might witness your joy.” The point of this statement is unclear.

[66:14]  7 tn “and you will see and your heart will be happy.”

[66:14]  8 tn Heb “and your bones like grass will sprout.”

[66:14]  9 tn Heb “and the hand of the Lord will be made known to his servants, and anger to his enemies.”

[12:2]  10 sn This verse is the only undisputed reference to a literal resurrection found in the Hebrew Bible.
