[65:17]  1 sn This hyperbolic statement likens the coming transformation of Jerusalem (see vv. 18-19) to a new creation of the cosmos.

[65:17]  2 tn Or perhaps, “the former things” (so ASV, NASB, NIV, NRSV); TEV “The events of the past.”

[65:17]  3 tn Heb “and they will not come up on the mind.”

[21:5]  4 tn Here καί (kai) has been translated as “then” to indicate the implied sequence of events within the vision.

[21:5]  5 tn The words “it down” are not in the Greek text, but are implied. Direct objects were frequently omitted in Greek when clear from the context.

[21:5]  6 tn Grk “faithful.”
