Judges 1:29-32
Context1:29 The men of Ephraim did not conquer the Canaanites living in Gezer. The Canaanites lived among them in Gezer.
1:30 The men of Zebulun did not conquer the people living in Kitron and Nahalol. 1 The Canaanites lived among them and were forced to do hard labor.
1:31 The men of Asher did not conquer the people living in Acco or Sidon, 2 nor did they conquer Ahlab, Aczib, Helbah, Aphek, or Rehob. 3 1:32 The people of Asher live among the Canaanites residing in the land because they did not conquer them.
Psalms 106:34-38
Context106:34 They did not destroy the nations, 4
as the Lord had commanded them to do.
106:35 They mixed in with the nations
and learned their ways. 5
106:36 They worshiped 6 their idols,
which became a snare to them. 7
106:37 They sacrificed their sons and daughters to demons. 8
106:38 They shed innocent blood –
the blood of their sons and daughters,
whom they sacrificed to the idols of Canaan.
The land was polluted by bloodshed. 9
