Judges 13:6

13:6 The woman went and said to her husband, “A man sent from God ¹  came to me! He looked like God’s angelic messenger – he was very awesome. ²  I did not ask him where he came from, and he did not tell me his name.

32:29 Then Jacob asked, “Please tell me your name.” ³  “Why ⁴  do you ask my name?” the man replied. ⁵  Then he blessed ⁶  Jacob ⁷  there.

[32:29]  ⁵ tn Heb “and he said, ‘Why is it that you ask my name?’” The referent of the pronoun “he” (the man who wrestled with Jacob) has been specified for clarity, and the order of the introductory clause and the direct discourse has been rearranged in the translation for stylistic reasons.
