Context19:13 He said to his servant, 1 “Come on, we will go into one of the other towns 2 and spend the night in Gibeah or Ramah.” 19:14 So they traveled on, 3 and the sun went down when they were near Gibeah in the territory of Benjamin. 4

[19:14] 3 tn Heb “and they passed by and went.”
[19:14] 4 tn Heb “which belongs to Benjamin.”
[20:9] 5 tn Heb “against her by lot.” The verb “we will go up” (נַעֲלֶה, na’aleh) has probably been accidentally omitted before “against her” (עָלֶיהָ, ’aleha).
[20:14] 7 tn Heb “assembled from the cities at Gibeah.”
[20:20] 9 tn Heb “the men of Israel.” The noun phrase has been replaced by the pronoun (“they”) in the translation for stylistic reasons.
