Judges 19:13
Context19:13 He said to his servant, 1 “Come on, we will go into one of the other towns 2 and spend the night in Gibeah or Ramah.”
Judges 19:15-16
Context19:15 They stopped there and decided to spend the night 3 in Gibeah. They came into the city and sat down in the town square, but no one invited them to spend the night. 4
19:16 But then an old man passed by, returning at the end of the day from his work in the field. 5 The man was from the Ephraimite hill country; he was living temporarily in Gibeah. (The residents of the town were Benjaminites.) 6
Judges 20:13
Context20:13 Now, hand over the good-for-nothings 7 in Gibeah so we can execute them and purge Israel of wickedness.” 8 But the Benjaminites refused to listen to their Israelite brothers.

[19:15] 4 tn Heb “and he entered and sat down, and there was no one receiving them into the house to spend the night.”
[19:16] 5 tn Heb “And look, an old man was coming from his work, from the field in the evening.”
[19:16] 6 tn Heb “And the men of the place were Benjaminites.”
