Judges 2:14

2:14 The Lord was furious with Israel ¹  and handed them over to robbers who plundered them. ²  He turned them over to ³  their enemies who lived around them. They could not withstand their enemies’ attacks. ⁴

A Divine Decision

2:20 The Lord was furious with Israel. ⁵  He said, “This nation ⁶  has violated the terms of the agreement I made with their ancestors ⁷  by disobeying me. ⁸ 

Judges 3:8

3:8 The Lord was furious with Israel ⁹  and turned them over to ¹⁰  King Cushan-Rishathaim ¹¹  of Aram-Naharaim. They were Cushan-Rishathaim’s subjects ¹²  for eight years.

Judges 14:19

14:19 The Lord’s spirit empowered him. He went down to Ashkelon and murdered thirty men. He took their clothes ¹³  and gave them ¹⁴  to the men who had solved the riddle. He was furious as he went back home. ¹⁵

[2:14]  ² tn Heb “robbers who robbed them.” (The verb שָׁסָה [shasah] appears twice in the verse.)
