20:27 The Israelites asked the Lord (for the ark of God’s covenant was there in those days;

1:1 After Joshua died, the Israelites asked ¹  the Lord, “Who should lead the invasion against the Canaanites and launch the attack?” ²

21:7 How can we find wives for those who are left? ³  After all, we took an oath in the Lord’s name not to give them our daughters as wives.”

Judges 20:23

20:23 The Israelites went up and wept before the Lord until evening. They asked the Lord, “Should we ⁴  again march out to fight ⁵  the Benjaminites, our brothers?” ⁶  The Lord said, “Attack them!” ⁷
