Judges 20:5

20:5 The leaders of Gibeah attacked me and at night surrounded the house where I was staying. ¹  They wanted to kill me; instead they abused my concubine so badly that she died.

Judges 19:20

19:20 The old man said, “Everything is just fine! ²  I will take care of all your needs. But don’t spend the night in the town square.”

7:2 The Lord said to Gideon, “You have too many men for me to hand Midian over to you. ³  Israel might brag, ⁴  ‘Our own strength has delivered us.’ ⁵
