Deceit, Assassination, and Deliverance

3:12 The Israelites again did evil in the Lord’s sight. ¹  The Lord gave King Eglon of Moab control over Israel ²  because they had done evil in the Lord’s sight.

Judges 11:36

11:36 She said to him, “My father, since ³  you made an oath to the Lord, do to me as you promised. ⁴  After all, the Lord vindicated you before ⁵  your enemies, the Ammonites.”

Judges 19:24

19:24 Here are my virgin daughter and my guest’s ⁶  concubine. I will send them out and you can abuse them and do to them whatever you like. ⁷  But don’t do such a disgraceful thing to this man!”

Judges 20:10

20:10 We will take ten of every group of a hundred men from all the tribes of Israel (and a hundred of every group of a thousand, and a thousand of every group of ten thousand) to get supplies for the army. ⁸  When they arrive in Gibeah of Benjamin they will punish them for the atrocity which they committed in Israel.” ⁹
