Judges 5:31
Context5:31 May all your enemies perish like this, O Lord!
But may those who love you shine
like the rising sun at its brightest!” 1

Judges 6:5
Context6:5 When they invaded 2 with their cattle and tents, they were as thick 3 as locusts. Neither they nor their camels could be counted. 4 They came to devour 5 the land.
Judges 9:20
Context9:20 But if not, may fire blaze from Abimelech and consume the leaders of Shechem and Beth Millo! May fire also blaze from the leaders of Shechem and Beth Millo and consume Abimelech!”
Judges 14:4
Context14:4 Now his father and mother did not realize this was the Lord’s doing, 6 because he was looking for an opportunity to stir up trouble with the Philistines 7 (for at that time the Philistines were ruling Israel).

[6:5] 4 tn Heb “To them and to their camels there was no number.”
[6:5] 5 tn Heb “destroy.” The translation “devour” carries through the imagery of a locust plague earlier in this verse.
[14:4] 3 tn Heb “this was from the LORD.”
[14:4] 4 tn Heb “for an opportunity he was seeking from the Philistines.”
