Oppression and Confrontation

6:1 The Israelites did evil in the Lord’s sight, ¹  so the Lord turned them over to ²  Midian for seven years.

Judges 11:32

11:32 Jephthah approached ³  the Ammonites to fight with them, and the Lord handed them over to him.
