Judges 6:9

6:9 I rescued you from Egypt’s power ¹  and from the power of all who oppressed you. I drove them out before you and gave their land to you.

Judges 8:34

8:34 The Israelites did not remain true ²  to the Lord their God, who had delivered them from all the enemies who lived around them.

Judges 10:15

10:15 But the Israelites said to the Lord, “We have sinned. You do to us as you see fit, ³  but deliver us today!” ⁴ 

[6:9]  ¹ tn Heb “hand” (also a second time later in this verse).

[8:34]  ² tn Heb “remember.”

[10:15]  ³ tn Heb “according to all whatever is good in your eyes.”

[10:15]  ⁴ sn You do to us as you see fit, but deliver us today. The request seems contradictory, but it can be explained in one of two ways. They may be asking for relief from their enemies and direct discipline from God’s hand. Or they may mean, “In the future you can do whatever you like to us, but give us relief from what we’re suffering right now.”
