7:8 The men 1  who were chosen 2  took supplies 3  and their trumpets. Gideon 4  sent all the men of Israel back to their homes; 5  he kept only three hundred men. Now the Midianites 6  were camped down below 7  in the valley.

Judges 20:10

20:10 We will take ten of every group of a hundred men from all the tribes of Israel (and a hundred of every group of a thousand, and a thousand of every group of ten thousand) to get supplies for the army. 8  When they arrive in Gibeah of Benjamin they will punish them for the atrocity which they committed in Israel.” 9
