Jeremiah 15:17

15:17 I did not spend my time in the company of other people,

laughing and having a good time.

I stayed to myself because I felt obligated to you ¹ 

and because I was filled with anger at what they had done.

Jeremiah 30:19

30:19 Out of those places you will hear songs of thanksgiving ² 

and the sounds of laughter and merriment.

I will increase their number and they will not dwindle away. ³ 

I will bring them honor and they will no longer be despised.

Jeremiah 31:4

31:4 I will rebuild you, my dear children Israel, ⁴ 

so that you will once again be built up.

Once again you will take up the tambourine

and join in the happy throng of dancers. ⁵
