32:21 You used your mighty power and your great strength to perform miracles and amazing deeds and to bring great terror on the Egyptians. By this means you brought your people Israel out of the land of Egypt. ¹ 

Jeremiah 32:28

32:28 Therefore I, the Lord, say: ²  ‘I will indeed hand ³  this city over to King Nebuchadnezzar of Babylon and the Babylonian army. ⁴  They will capture it.

Jeremiah 34:20

34:20 I will hand them over to their enemies who want to kill them. Their dead bodies will become food for the birds and the wild animals. ⁵ 

Jeremiah 21:7

21:7 Then ⁶  I, the Lord, promise that ⁷  I will hand over King Zedekiah of Judah, his officials, and any of the people who survive the war, starvation, and disease. I will hand them over to King Nebuchadnezzar of Babylon and to their enemies who want to kill them. He will slaughter them with the sword. He will not show them any mercy, compassion, or pity.’

The sentence has been broken down to better conform to contemporary English style.

[32:28]  ² tn Heb “Thus says the Lord.” However, the speech has already been introduced as first person. So the first person style has been retained for smoother narrative style.
