[7:1]  ¹ tn Heb “The word which came to Jeremiah from the Lord.”

[11:1]  ² tn Heb “The word which came to Jeremiah from the Lord, saying.” The proposed translation is more in keeping with contemporary English idiom. Cf. 1:2 and 7:1 and footnotes there.

[18:1]  ³ tn Heb “The word which came to Jeremiah from the Lord, saying:” This same formula occurs ten other times in Jeremiah. It has already occurred at 7:1 and 11:1.

[30:1]  ⁴ tn Compare the headings at 7:1; 11:1; 18:1; 21:1 and the translator’s note at those places.

[34:12]  ⁵ tn Heb “And the word of the Lord came to Jeremiah from the Lord, saying.” This is the resumption of the introduction in v. 8 after the lengthy description of the situation that had precipitated the Lord’s message to Jeremiah. “That was when” is intended to take the reader back to v. 8.
