John 10:4

10:4 When he has brought all his own sheep ¹  out, he goes ahead of them, and the sheep follow him because they recognize ²  his voice.

John 18:21

18:21 Why do you ask me? Ask those who heard what I said. ³  They ⁴  know what I said.”

[10:4]  ¹ tn The word “sheep” is not in the Greek text, but is implied.

[10:4]  ² tn Grk “because they know.”

[18:21]  ³ tn Grk “Ask those who heard what I said to them.” The words “to them” are not translated since they are redundant in English.
