20:26 Eight days later the disciples were again together in the house, 2  and Thomas was with them. Although the doors were locked, 3  Jesus came and stood among them and said, “Peace be with you!”

[20:26]  3 tn Grk “the doors were shut”; “locked” conveys a more appropriate idea for the modern English reader.

[6:7]  4 tn Grk “two hundred denarii.” The denarius was a silver coin worth about a day’s wage for a laborer; this would be an amount worth about eight months’ pay.
