Joshua 1:5

1:5 No one will be able to resist you ¹  all the days of your life. As I was with Moses, so I will be with you. I will not abandon you or leave you alone.

Joshua 10:6

10:6 The men of Gibeon sent this message to Joshua at the camp in Gilgal, “Do not abandon ²  your subjects! ³  Rescue us! Help us! For all the Amorite kings living in the hill country are attacking us.” ⁴ 

Joshua 18:3

18:3 So Joshua said to the Israelites: “How long do you intend to put off occupying ⁵  the land the Lord God of your ancestors ⁶  has given you?

[1:5]  ¹ tn Heb “A man will not stand before you.” The second person pronouns in this verse are singular, indicating Joshua is the addressee.

[10:6]  ² tn Heb “do not let your hand drop from us.”

[10:6]  ³ tn Heb “your servants!”

[10:6]  ⁴ tn Heb “have gathered against us.”

[18:3]  ³ tn Heb “How long are you putting off entering and possessing.”

[18:3]  ⁴ tn Or “fathers.”
