Joshua 1:5

1:5 No one will be able to resist you ¹  all the days of your life. As I was with Moses, so I will be with you. I will not abandon you or leave you alone.

Joshua 7:15

7:15 The one caught with the riches ²  must be burned up ³  along with all who belong to him, because he violated the Lord’s covenant and did such a disgraceful thing in Israel.’”

Joshua 8:22

8:22 At the same time the men who had taken the city came out to fight, and the men of Ai were trapped in the middle. ⁴  The Israelites struck them down, leaving no survivors or refugees.

[1:5]  ¹ tn Heb “A man will not stand before you.” The second person pronouns in this verse are singular, indicating Joshua is the addressee.

[7:15]  ² tn Heb “with what was set apart [to the Lord].”

[7:15]  ³ tn Heb “burned with fire.”

[8:22]  ³ tn Heb “and these went out from the city to meet them and they were for Israel in the middle, some on this side, and others on the other side.”
