Joshua 1:8

1:8 This law scroll must not leave your lips! ¹  You must memorize it ²  day and night so you can carefully obey ³  all that is written in it. Then you will prosper ⁴  and be successful. ⁵ 

Joshua 10:12

10:12 The day the Lord delivered the Amorites over to the Israelites, Joshua prayed to the Lord before Israel: ⁶ 

“O sun, stand still over Gibeon!

O moon, over the Valley of Aijalon!”

Joshua 20:6

20:6 He must remain ⁷  in that city until his case is decided by the assembly ⁸  and the high priest dies. ⁹  Then the one who committed manslaughter may return home to the city from which he escaped.” ¹⁰

[10:12]  ⁶ tn Heb “Then Joshua spoke to the Lord in the day the Lord placed the Amorites before the sons of Israel and he said in the eyes of Israel.” It is uncertain whether the phrase “before the sons of Israel” modifies the verb “placed” (as in the present translation, “delivered the Amorites over to the Israelites”) or the verb “spoke” (“Joshua spoke to the Lord before the sons of Israel in the day the Lord delivered over the Amorites”).
