10:6 The men of Gibeon sent this message to Joshua at the camp in Gilgal, “Do not abandon 1  your subjects! 2  Rescue us! Help us! For all the Amorite kings living in the hill country are attacking us.” 3 

Joshua 1:5

1:5 No one will be able to resist you 4  all the days of your life. As I was with Moses, so I will be with you. I will not abandon you or leave you alone.
