Joshua 12:2

12:2 King Sihon of the Amorites who lived ¹  in Heshbon and ruled from Aroer (on the edge of the Arnon Valley) – including the city in the middle of the valley ²  and half of Gilead – all the way to the Jabbok Valley bordering Ammonite territory.

Joshua 18:7

18:7 But the Levites will not have an allotted portion among you, for their inheritance is to serve the Lord. ³  Gad, Reuben, and the half-tribe of Manasseh have already received their allotted land ⁴  east of the Jordan which Moses the Lord’s servant assigned them.”

Joshua 20:6

20:6 He must remain ⁵  in that city until his case is decided by the assembly ⁶  and the high priest dies. ⁷  Then the one who committed manslaughter may return home to the city from which he escaped.” ⁸
