  The fight is on, the trumpet sound is ringing out, The cry “To arms!” is heard afar and near; The Lord of hosts is marching on to victory, The triumph of the Christ will soon appear. Refrain The fight is on, O Christian soldier, And face to face in stern array, With armor gleaming, and colors streaming, The right and wrong engage today! The fight is on, but be not weary; Be strong, and in His might hold fast; If God be for us, His banner o’er us, We’ll sing the victor’s song at last!   He Who suns and worlds upholdeth Lends us His upholding hand; He the ages Who unfoldeth Doth our times and ways command. God is for us, God is for us; In His strength and stay we stand. He Who sage and seer instructed Will not keep from us His lore; Who those ancient saints conducted Hath not giv’n His guiding o’er. • [Rom 8:31] If God Himself Be For Me

  If God Himself be for me, I may a host defy, For when I pray, before me my foes confounded fly. If Christ, the Head, befriend me, if God be my support, The mischief they intend me shall quickly come to naught. I build on this foundation, that Jesus and His blood Alone are my salvation, the true eternal good; Without Him, all that pleases is valueless on earth: The gifts I owe to Jesus alone my love are worth. His Holy Spirit dwelleth within my willing heart, Tames it when it rebelleth, and soothes the keenest smart. He crowns His work with blessing, and helpeth me to cry “My Father!” without ceasing to Him Who reigns on high. To mine His Spirit speaketh sweet words of soothing power, How God to Him that seeketh for rest, hath rest in store; How God Himself prepareth my heritage and lot, And though my body weareth, my Heav’n shall fail me not.

  Let Christian faith and hope dispel The fears of guilt and woe; The Lord Almighty is our Friend, And who can prove a foe? The Savior died, but rose again Triumphant from the grave: And pleads our cause at God’s right hand, Omnipotent to save. Who then can e’er divide us more From Jesus and His love, Or break the sacred chain that binds The earth to Heav’n above? Let troubles rise, and terrors frown, And days of darkness fall; Through Him all dangers we’ll defy, And more than conquer all. Nor death, nor life, nor earth, nor hell, Nor time’s destroying sway Can e’er efface us from His heart Or make His love decay. • [Rom 8:31] Once Pledged By The Cross

  Once pledged by the Cross, As children of God, To tread in the steps Your Captain has trod, Now, sealed by the Spirit Of wisdom and might, Go forward, Christ’s soldiers, Go forward and fight! Your weapons of war Are sent from above, The Spirit’s good sword, The breastplate of love; Your feet with the Gospel Of peace be well shod; Put on the whole armor, The armor of God. Full well do ye know The foe must be met, Full well do ye feel That Satan has set His powers of darkness In battle array; But those who are for you Are stronger than they. • [Rom 8:31] What Shall We Say?

  What shall we say? If God indeed is for us, Who then can ever come against our souls? God did not spare His only Son, our Savior, But gave Him up that we might be made whole. How will He not, along with Christ our Lord, Give us all things by His free grace? God will indeed, along with Christ our Lord, Give us all things by His free grace. Now who will bring a charge against God’s chosen? God is the One Who justifies each man. Who can condemn? Christ Jesus died for sinners, Was raised to life, and sits at God’s right hand. From there He always intercedes for us; None can condemn—we’re justified. He intercedes and brings our case to God; None can condemn—we’re justified. Who then shall cleave us from the love of Jesus? We who face death like sheep within their pen. Shall trouble, hardship, persecution, hunger? Shall nakedness or danger or armed men? No, in all things we’re more than conquerors Through Him Who loved us to the death. In all these things, we’re more than conquerors Through Him Who loved us to the death. I am convinced there’s naught in all creation Can come between us and God’s love so vast. Not death nor life, angels nor demon powers, Things present now, nor what is yet to pass. Nothing can separate us from God’s love That comes to us through Christ our Lord! Nothing can separate us from God’s love That comes to us through Christ our Lord!
