Context2:1 Joshua son of Nun sent two spies out from Shittim secretly and instructed them: 1 “Find out what you can about the land, especially Jericho.” 2 They stopped at the house of a prostitute named Rahab and spent the night there. 3

Context7:3 They returned and reported to Joshua, 4 “Don’t send the whole army. 5 About two or three thousand men are adequate to defeat Ai. 6 Don’t tire out the whole army, for Ai is small.” 7
Joshua 20:9
Context20:9 These were the cities of refuge 8 appointed for all the Israelites and for resident foreigners living among them. Anyone who accidentally killed someone could escape there and not be executed by 9 the avenger of blood, at least until his case was reviewed by the assembly. 10
