Joshua 10:5-6

10:5 So the five Amorite kings (the kings of Jerusalem, Hebron, Jarmuth, Lachish, and Eglon) and all their troops gathered together and advanced. They deployed their troops and fought against Gibeon. ⁸ 

10:6 The men of Gibeon sent this message to Joshua at the camp in Gilgal, “Do not abandon ⁹  your subjects! ¹⁰  Rescue us! Help us! For all the Amorite kings living in the hill country are attacking us.” ¹¹ 

Joshua 10:12

10:12 The day the Lord delivered the Amorites over to the Israelites, Joshua prayed to the Lord before Israel: ¹² 

“O sun, stand still over Gibeon!

O moon, over the Valley of Aijalon!”

Joshua 12:2

12:2 King Sihon of the Amorites who lived ¹³  in Heshbon and ruled from Aroer (on the edge of the Arnon Valley) – including the city in the middle of the valley ¹⁴  and half of Gilead – all the way to the Jabbok Valley bordering Ammonite territory.

24:11 You crossed the Jordan and came to Jericho. ¹⁵  The leaders ¹⁶  of Jericho, as well as the Amorites, Perizzites, Canaanites, Hittites, Girgashites, Hivites, and Jebusites, fought with you, but I handed them over to you.
