Joshua 22:27

22:27 but as a reminder to us and you, ¹  and to our descendants who follow us, that we will honor the Lord in his very presence ²  with burnt offerings, sacrifices, and tokens of peace. ³  Then in the future your descendants will not be able to say to our descendants, ‘You have no right to worship the Lord.’ ⁴ 

Joshua 24:28

24:28 When Joshua dismissed the people, they went to their allotted portions of land. ⁵ 

[22:27]  ¹ tn Heb “but it is a witness between us and you.”

[22:27]  ² tn Heb “to do the service of the Lord before him.”

[22:27]  ³ tn Or “peace offerings.”

[22:27]  ⁴ tn Heb “You have no portion in the Lord.”

[24:28]  ⁵ tn Heb “And Joshua sent the people away, each to his inheritance.”
