3:7 The Lord told Joshua, “This very day I will begin to honor you before all Israel 1  so they will know that I am with you just as I was with Moses.

10:39 They 17  captured it, its king, and all its surrounding cities and put the sword to them. They annihilated everyone who lived there; they 18  left no survivors. They 19  did to Debir and its king what they 20  had done to Libnah and its king and to Hebron. 21 

10:40 Joshua defeated the whole land, including the hill country, the Negev, the lowlands, 22  the slopes, and all their kings. He left no survivors. He annihilated everything that breathed, just as the Lord God of Israel had commanded.

Joshua 11:12

Context

11:12 Joshua captured all these royal cities and all their kings and annihilated them with the sword, 23  as Moses the Lord’s servant had commanded.

11:15 Moses the Lord’s servant passed on the Lord’s commands to Joshua, and Joshua did as he was told. He did not ignore any of the commands the Lord had given Moses. 24

11:20 for the Lord determined to make them obstinate so they would attack Israel. He wanted Israel to annihilate them without mercy, as he had instructed Moses. 25
