4:13 About forty thousand battle-ready troops ¹  marched past the Lord to fight ²  on the plains of Jericho. ³

14:11 Today I am still as strong as when Moses sent me out. I can fight and go about my daily activities with the same energy I had then. ⁴

8:14 When the king of Ai saw Israel, he and his whole army quickly got up the next day and went out to fight Israel at the meeting place near the Arabah. ⁵  But he did not realize ⁶  men were hiding behind the city. ⁷
