Joshua 5:6

Context
5:6 Indeed, for forty years the Israelites traveled through the desert until all the men old enough to fight when they left Egypt, the ones who had disobeyed the Lord, died off. 1  For the Lord had sworn a solemn oath to them that he would not let them see the land he had sworn on oath to give them, 2  a land rich in 3  milk and honey.

Joshua 8:33

Context
8:33 All the people, 4  rulers, 5  leaders, and judges were standing on either side of the ark, in front of the Levitical priests who carried the ark of the covenant of the Lord. Both resident foreigners and native Israelites were there. 6  Half the people stood in front of Mount Gerizim and the other half in front of Mount Ebal, as Moses the Lord’s servant had previously instructed to them to do for the formal blessing ceremony. 7

Joshua 22:9

Context
22:9 So the Reubenites, Gadites, and half-tribe of Manasseh left the Israelites in Shiloh in the land of Canaan and headed home to their own land in Gilead, 8  which they acquired by the Lord’s command through Moses.

Joshua 22:31

Context
22:31 Phinehas, son of Eleazar, the priest, said to the Reubenites, Gadites, and the Manassehites, 9  “Today we know that the Lord is among us, because you have not disobeyed the Lord in this. 10  Now 11  you have rescued the Israelites from the Lord’s judgment.” 12

Joshua 23:13

Context
23:13 know for certain that the Lord our God will no longer drive out these nations from before you. They will trap and ensnare you; 13  they will be a whip that tears 14  your sides and thorns that blind 15  your eyes until you disappear 16  from this good land the Lord your God gave you.
