Joshua 5:6

Context
5:6 Indeed, for forty years the Israelites traveled through the desert until all the men old enough to fight when they left Egypt, the ones who had disobeyed the Lord, died off. 1  For the Lord had sworn a solemn oath to them that he would not let them see the land he had sworn on oath to give them, 2  a land rich in 3  milk and honey.

Joshua 9:24

Context
9:24 They said to Joshua, “It was carefully reported to your subjects 4  how the Lord your God commanded Moses his servant to assign you the whole land and to destroy all who live in the land from before you. Because of you we were terrified 5  we would lose our lives, so we did this thing.

Joshua 23:13

Context
23:13 know for certain that the Lord our God will no longer drive out these nations from before you. They will trap and ensnare you; 6  they will be a whip that tears 7  your sides and thorns that blind 8  your eyes until you disappear 9  from this good land the Lord your God gave you.

Joshua 23:15

Context
23:15 But in the same way every faithful promise the Lord your God made to you has been realized, 10  it is just as certain, if you disobey, that the Lord will bring on you every judgment 11  until he destroys you from this good land which the Lord your God gave you.
