6:12 Bright and early the next morning Joshua had the priests pick up the ark of the Lord. ¹

[6:12]  ¹ tn Heb “Joshua rose early in the morning and the priests picked up the ark of the Lord.”

[6:27]  ² tn Heb “and the report about him was in all the land.” The Hebrew term אֶרֶץ (’erets, “land”) may also be translated “earth.”

[9:14]  ³ tn Heb “took.” This probably means they tasted some of the food to make sure it was stale.

[9:14]  ⁴ tn Heb “but they did not ask the mouth of the Lord.” This refers to seeking the Lord’s will and guidance through an oracle.

[23:11]  ⁴ tn Heb “Watch carefully yourselves so as to love the Lord your God.”
