Joshua 8:1
Context8:1 The Lord told Joshua, “Don’t be afraid and don’t panic! 1 Take the whole army with you and march against Ai! 2 See, I am handing over to you 3 the king of Ai, along with his people, city, and land.
Joshua 8:14
Context8:14 When the king of Ai saw Israel, he and his whole army quickly got up the next day and went out to fight Israel at the meeting place near the Arabah. 4 But he did not realize 5 men were hiding behind the city. 6
Joshua 11:20
Context11:20 for the Lord determined to make them obstinate so they would attack Israel. He wanted Israel to annihilate them without mercy, as he had instructed Moses. 7
Joshua 11:23
Context11:23 Joshua conquered 8 the whole land, just as the Lord had promised Moses, 9 and he assigned Israel their tribal portions. 10 Then the land was free of war.
Joshua 17:1
Context17:1 The tribe of Manasseh, Joseph’s firstborn son, was also allotted land. 11 The descendants of Makir, Manasseh’s firstborn and the father of Gilead, received land, for they were warriors. 12 They were assigned Gilead and Bashan. 13

[17:1] 13 tn Heb “and the lot belonged to the tribe of Manasseh, for he was the firstborn of Joseph.”
[17:1] 14 tn Heb “to Makir, the firstborn of Manasseh, the father of Gilead, for he was a man of war.”
