Context8:24 When Israel had finished killing all the men 26 of Ai who had chased them toward the desert 27 (they all fell by the sword), 28 all Israel returned to Ai and put the sword to it.

Context10:1 Adoni-Zedek, king of Jerusalem, 29 heard how Joshua captured Ai and annihilated it and its king as he did Jericho 30 and its king. 31 He also heard how 32 the people of Gibeon made peace with Israel and lived among them.
