Leviticus 21:8

21:8 You must sanctify him because he presents the food of your God. He must be holy to you because I, the Lord who sanctifies you all, ¹  am holy.

Ezekiel 44:22

44:22 They must not marry a widow or a divorcee, but they may marry a virgin from the house of Israel ²  or a widow who is a priest’s widow.

[21:8]  ¹ tn The three previous second person references in this verse are all singular, but this reference is plural. By adding “all” this grammatical distinction is preserved in the translation.

[44:22]  ² tn Heb “from the offspring of the house of Israel.”

[3:11]  ³ tn Heb “to the sons of your people.”
