26:39 “‘As for the ones who remain among you, they will rot away because of 1  their iniquity in the lands of your enemies, and they will also rot away because of their ancestors’ 2  iniquities which are with them.

[26:39]  1 tn Heb “in” (so KJV, ASV; also later in this verse).

[26:39]  2 tn Heb “fathers’” (also in the following verse).

[5:9]  3 tn The Hebrew verb וְהִזָּה (vÿhizzah, Hiphil of נָזָה, nazah) does indeed mean “sprinkle” or “splatter” (cf. Lev 4:6, 17). Contrast “splash” in Lev 1:5, etc. (זָרָק, zaraq).

[5:9]  4 tn Heb “the remainder in the blood.” The Heb. preposition “in” (בְּ, bÿ) is used here to mean “some among” a whole collection of something.

[25:52]  5 tn Heb “but if a little remains in the years.”

[26:36]  7 tn Heb “And.”
