7:17 but the leftovers from the meat of the sacrifice must be burned up in the fire ¹  on the third day.

Leviticus 19:7

19:7 If, however, it is eaten ²  on the third day, it is spoiled, ³  it will not be accepted,

19:6 It must be eaten on the day of your sacrifice and on the following day, ⁴  but what is left over until the third day must be burned up. ⁵ 

Leviticus 7:18

7:18 If some of the meat of his peace offering sacrifice is ever eaten on the third day it will not be accepted; it will not be accounted to the one who presented it, since it is spoiled, ⁶  and the person who eats from it will bear his punishment for iniquity. ⁷ 

Leviticus 19:8

19:8 and the one who eats it will bear his punishment for iniquity ⁸  because he has profaned ⁹  what is holy to the Lord. ¹⁰  That person will be cut off from his people. ¹¹ 

[7:17]  ¹ tn Heb “burned with fire,” an expression which is sometimes redundant in English, but here means “burned up,” “burned up entirely” (likewise in v. 19).
