Luke 12:43

12:43 Blessed is that slave ¹  whom his master finds at work ²  when he returns.

Luke 14:14

14:14 Then ³  you will be blessed, ⁴  because they cannot repay you, for you will be repaid ⁵  at the resurrection of the righteous.”

[12:43]  ² tn That is, doing his job, doing what he is supposed to be doing.

[14:14]  ³ tn Here καί (kai) has been translated as “then” to indicate that this follows from the preceding action. Because of the length and complexity of the Greek sentence, a new sentence was started here in the translation.

[14:14]  ⁴ sn You will be blessed. God notes and approves of such generosity.
